Abbott’s Nutrition team are recruiting for a newly created Trainer position for their Hospital2Home team.

Responsibilities include:

  • To manage the administrative recruitment and on-boarding process for all new coordinator starters in Hospital2Home.

  • Develop, maintain and deliver an initial training course (ITC) programme for new coordinators in Hospital2Home. Provide clear feedback for the Team Leaders to ensure they can follow up on any day to day monitoring, training and development needs. Ensure Hospital2Home performance standards and latest practice are reflected in the ITC programme content.

  • Coordinate mandatory and core Hospital2Home training for new and existing Hospital2Home personnel, ensuring compliance with the latest policies and procedures.

  • Support staff development, including refresher training as required.

  • Audit and monitor 'soft skills' e.g. telephone management of incoming and outgoing calls in line with the call monitoring process.

  • To work in a helpful and approachable manner as a lead member of the team to ensure overall performance targets are met.

  • To forward plan to deliver business goals and talent acquisition, and to anticipate and introduce change effectively.

  • Develop and present monthly quality reporting, based on team performance and incidents raised.

  • To modify and amend training programmes based on customer feedback and customer satisfaction rates, making appropriate decisions, ensuring that they are made without bias, prejudice or discrimination. To accurately identify training needs / gaps and generate solutions, presenting balanced views and drawing reasoned conclusions.

  • To ensure that training, service quality and performance is maintained, up-to-date, accurate, and professionally delivered, and actively participate in developing the service,

  • To actively participate in training and development opportunities, keeping abreast of customer service and technical developments.

  • To take opportunities to increase areas of own and team competence.

The ideal candidate will have relevant business experience in a similar trainer role, with a demonstrable track record of delivering training and developing/implementing training policies and procedures and performance framework/measurements. A background in healthcare, or experience in customer service would be preferable. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, including presenting, and have experience of working effectively within teams, and collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
