Be responsible for developing and managing of Business Excellence throughout Structural Heart through engagement with all departments.
Lead technical team to develop new/existing suppliers for NPI projects to ensure long-term success in quality, performance, and continuous improvement.
Develop the supplier’s ability to support Lean Manufacturing principles and problem avoidance processes through the use of best in class quality, delivery and lead-time performance processes.
As the Manager of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Sub-Function, oversees the strategy implementation and operations for performing detailed audits of practices at company manufacturing plants and sites to ensure that policies and procedures comply with guidelines set forth by all applicable regulations both domestic, international, and applicable International Standardization for Organization (ISO) standards.
Reports on weaknesses, ineffective procedures, policy exceptions and discrepancies and recommends appropriate corrective actions.
Consults with manufacturing management to establish practices and procedures that comply with all applicable regulations.
Successfully support the BEX group to manage all assigned Site & Divisional Specific Projects.
Lead BEX Group to ensure assigned projects are completed on time and deliver cost savings as agreed per project.
Drive for operational excellence Complete benchmarking both within Abbott and within other industries to determine best in class.
Lead and Manage the Value Stream Mapping of processes across all departments to identify improvement opportunities.
Responsible for regularly communicating project achievements and progress to site management and project teams.
Operate within project budget requirements and highlight any deficiencies in resource requirements.
Review supplier processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement, and value enhancement opportunities.
The following experience provides a necessary foundation for this Job function:
Strong strategy development and planning skills coupled with necessary knowledge of diagnostics technical, operational and supply activities.
Recognized project management experience – Six Sigma / BEX experience / or equivalent preferred. Six Sigma Blackbelt certification preferred.
Strong influencing & communication skills are essential.
