Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration production of parts, components, sub assemblies, and final assemblies. Determines and may assist in tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
Two-year degree with 4+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and technical work experience.
May also require a license or certification in the area of expertise.
Applies extensive knowledge of advanced technical concepts andpractices, and a complete understanding of product or systems fundamentals in a functional area, and workingknowledge of other related disciplines.
Utilizes/interprets advanced numerical and statistical data and computer software programs to present documentation and analysis and resolve complex problems.
Will perform this job in a quality system environment.
Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
Performs complex technical assignments usually without established procedures.
Assists in the design, development, evaluation or modification of all area-specific equipment, materials, systems, and/or product.
May determine types of tests or develop preventative maintenance plans.
Assignments require considerable judgment, initiative, creativity and leadership in troubleshooting, suggesting alternatives, and making recommendations for continuous quality improvementmethods.
