The National Account Manager is responsible for all sales functions related to the Abbott Nutrition product portfolios for Albertson's and Safeway. This individual will work closely with internal sales and marketing functions to maximize Abbott Nutrition sales volume and market share.
The incumbent is responsible for margin improvement initiatives and accurate forecasting of the business. They also act as the key facilitator by directing the execution of division objectives within Albertson's and Safeway. They accomplish this by guiding activities of the support teams, gaining division support and resources to support initiatives, and aligning key decision-makers within the customer headquarters by building effective business relationships.
Core competencies needed for the National Account Manager include: adaptability, willingness to take the initiative, innovative mindset, high level of integrity, strategic vision, and effective teamwork as both leader and member.
3 to 4 years direct sales experience, preferably in the consumer packaged goods industry with increasing account responsibility
Maintain an impactful presence and engage regularly with internal and customer senior level management
Effective interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to analyze data/market trends to effectively develop presentations, provide recommendations, and forecast performance
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
