Status: Regular, Full Time
To meet the training and development needs of our sales organization so as to fulfill the skill set requirements for achieving our Division’s growth and productivity goals. Support LAC Training Manager and Country operations in the development and implementation of complex sales and marketing effectiveness tools and metrics. Designs, develops, executes and measures the impact of employee training.
Leads, Plans, develops, and implements/facilitates training programs for customers, and/or employees, and field support personnel for LAC countries (mainly country based) for Abbott Diagnostics. Conduct field trips with sales personnel to evaluate general skills and training needs.
Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules.Obtains information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software and product requirements to prepare training programs.
Prepares lesson plans and training materials.
Designs product demonstrations.
Develops course content.
Coordinates the development of training aids.
Conducts training sessions, product demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
May utilize trainers with technical expertise.
May administer tests.
Continuously revises lesson plans to ensure course material reflect product features, meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
Manage budgeting and administrative functions of training process.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Excellent English communication and presentation skills (written and spoken).
Local travel need is 40%-70% in addition to Area travel.
Excellent time management, organizational and administrative skills.
Example of training programs that must be conducted: Product Knowledge, New Products, Selling & Negotiation Skills, Sales Management Effectiveness, Customer profile development & usage, Development and usage of sales productivity reports, Time and territory management for sales reps, Account Management, Bids pre-selling, Advanced Selling Skills, Selling to c-suite.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree required.
Seven years of related work experience is required.
Demonstrated superior sales, marketing, technical customer service skills in previous assignments.
Must be able to work in & influence teams.
Diagnostics industry experience preferred.
