Primary Job Function

The objective of the Demand Manager position is to own and manage the full S&OP process enabling an optimal level of customer service, product inventory across the full supply chain and stable production schedule for supply to the local Abbott warehouse. This is outlined in the successful delivery of a 28 months products sales forecast with the maximum possible accuracy for all BU’s operating under EPD Russia.

Core Job Responsibilities

Analyze market demand and work together with all involved functions to achieve an accurate demand forecast, taking into consideration all EPD brands strategies and business needs. Consistently deliver an effective demand plan which comprises 28 months forecast that improves accuracy and avoids out of stocks. Receive, analyze and challenge the marketing & sales projections and assumptions for the local Business Units. Ensure all potential sources of demand are considered and maintain open line of communication with regulatory and NBD departments. Manage supply chains fluctuations, safety stock, obsolete inventory, closely track regulatory situation, replenishment schedule as a part of Demand planning and S&OP processes. Be informed of in-market situation of the Business Units in order to adjust demand plan if necessary. Manage demand review meetings to ensure all the appropriate work and reporting is performed in advance, providing the clarity and useful analysis for stakeholders to make decisions. Coordinate agenda and follow up of the S&OP processes. Receive input and give feedback for the S&OP meeting. Coordinate KPIs calculations and root cause analysis (diagnostics). Ensure accurate and timely submission of S&OP deck, ADS, ADR in alignment with LBEs. Keep the BU Management constantly informed of general status and issues. Meet required customer service level and forecast accuracy and bias objectives. Utilize Cognos capabilities and apply statistical methods to build the demand and optimize resources. Ensure and maintain Class A principles and requirements for S&OP and Demand management processes. Support NPI process. Provide on-going trainings and educational programs for marketing team in respect of demand planning & S&OP processes, manage on-boarding program for newcomers. Adhere to Abbott policies and procedures. Act as a project manager for the project related to Demand & S&OP processes automation, optimization and improvement.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:

  • No direct reports.

  • Coordination of the whole S&OP process, with high involvement of Affiliate top management.

Minimum Education

  • University degree, preferably finance, economics.

Minimum Experience/Training Required

  • SAP and extensive Excel knowledge.

  • Organizational skills: strong leadership ability, conflict resolution / management, learning agility, drive for change.

  • Technical Skills: Analytical and strategic thinking, highly efficient communication and presentation skills, process improvement/optimization mentality, evident cross-functional experience.

  • Fluent English / Russian
