Abbott Area Sales Manager in Mumbai, India
Primary Job Function, Accountability and Scope:
Drive sales in defined territory to achieve revenue targets, profitable growth and gain market share. The sales executive is held accountable for providing accurate and timely sales forecast. Serve as the primary contact with all new opportunities. Provides update reports to regional sales manager regarding Win/Loss Ratios, Lead Conversions, Quota attainment, and Customer Satisfaction. Demonstrate leadership within peer group. Develop and execute strategies for generating leads, building pipelines and closing opportunities.
Core Job Responsi b ilities:
Identify new business opportunities and maintain a strong sales funnel.
Generate new LIMS software business by effectively managing leads and opportunities
Work closely with Business consultant to deliver excellent product presentations.
Design and deliver unique solutions that result in improved outcomes for customer.
Responsible for selling total solutions to target; non-enterprise accounts (high-risk / upselling renewals; new business)
Respond to RFIs and RPFs in a professional and timely manner
Establish and build deep understanding of customer and stakeholder needs.
In-depth understand of the competitive landscape.
Build and lead internal cross functional selling team to execute account strategies.
Analyze impact of market trends and factors on customers
Develop strategic account plans for closing deals and achieving sales goals
Negotiating long term contracts
Carry Sales quota in the assigned territory and achieving the sales quota
M ini m um Experie n ce Re q uired
3+ years industry experience in a laboratory or science-based industry with knowledge of Laboratory Equipment, Lab Solutions, Informatics (LIMS, ELN, SDMS, CDS, COMPLINACE SOFTWARE or SCIENTIFIC SOFTWARE)
5 to 7 years’ enterprise software, Equipment, and other solutions sales experience in Relevant software and Industry segment
M ini m um Education
Master’s Degree or equivalent in Science, Engineering and other relevant disciplines
Position requires ability to comprehend industry specific laboratory knowledge, compliance and customer needs (Pharma, Quality / Manufacturing, F&B, Petro Chemical, Public Health, Forensic and Clinical).
