The MasterData Team Lead , based in Orlando, Florida will be responsible for coordinating and executing day-to-day operations assigned to the local team to ensure that the data for the critical business system for operations is administered and maintained appropriately to guarantee data integrity. The team leader is responsible for managing, coaching and developing a team based culture, driving change and improvement initiatives, establishing, communicating and implementing short, medium to long terms plans to ensure that Abbott Rapid Diagnostics goals are achieved and supported.


  • Responsible for the performancemanagement of the team, and ensuregoals are set that align to Master Data and GBS objectives.

  • Provideteam members relevant and timely feedback on an ongoing basis.

  • Support Master Data leadership onexecuting strategic objectives.

  • Organizing the workload for the team andensuring that the right resources are available and trained to the higheststandard.

  • Ensure Master Data queries in relationto customer, vendor, pricing, inclusion and material data are actionedeffectively and efficiently in accordance with the Standard OperatingProcedures (SOP) and defined service level agreements.

  • Responsible for overseeing the inductionand training of new team members ensuring that the highest levels oftraining are delivered, and measured.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement tostreamline processes and implement IT/SAP functionality that will increaseefficiencies to improve our customer’s experience.

  • Represent Master Data on StrategicTransformation Projects including; consolidations, system implementationsand data efficiency.

  • Executes applicable Quality Systemprocesses including document ownership and resolution of Quality Incidents(QI) and CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions) in a timely manner.

  • Continuously develop, manage and improveprocesses and procedures that are necessary to maintain exceptionalservice to internal customers.

  • Work with internal departments and localusers to drive on any Master Data related projects to ensure progressive developmentand accuracy of data.

  • Support and Monitor the ongoingtransition of transactional work to Manila Master Data team.

  • Act as a change agent to promote databest practice and governance initiatives.

  • Makes decisions about how best toidentify and structure data to resolve issues.

  • Build relationships with centralfunctions and support other business users through the timely resolutionof Master Data Queries.

  • Supports Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related field required

  • 2+ years demonstrated success in managing and coordinating amulti-skilled team in performance and productivity

  • 2 years experience in data management or 3 years experience in arelated function within a shared services center

  • SAP or other ERP experience required


  • Advanced proficiency in Office 365

  • Strong understanding of internal business structure andrequirements

  • Ability to trend, suggest resolution and solve practical problemsregarding master data

  • Proven ability to prioritize with appropriate urgency

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • High level of initiative

  • High level of understanding of SAP system functionality

  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in relevant modules of SAP
