Status: Regular, 1 Year Contract
As a member of our Chemistry Engineering Support Team, you will play a key role in improving product yields. You will identify and support the implementation of solution improvements to improve process and product yields, reduce production costs, and improve efficiency.
Your particular area of focus and responsibility will be supporting the Test Lab with special attention spent on process monitoring; validation, documentation and equipment support as well as CAPA related activities.
Owns all aspects of exception reports in the CAPA system.
Recommends and implements productivity improvements and process changes to improve product performance, quality and yield.
Defines, develops and implements process control and metrics in area of responsibility.
Employs consistent use of the scientific method and takes an organized approach to creative problem solving.
Maintains contact with managers and group members of related process engineering areas, including manufacturing, research and development, quality assurance area and test.
Keeps up to date with the latest technical developments in the related area, assesses and integrates appropriate changes to work practices.
Sets up control charts and process limits, plans and executes experiments and analyzes test data.
Develops & implements process specifications for solutions and raw materials. Writes validation reports, project reports, presents information to others.
Recommends and implements improvements and changes to processes, material and equipment usage.
Acts as a resource to manufacturing and test areas on issues of chemical preparation and solution quality. Maintains internal contacts with other process groups.
Ensures that all documentation is accurate and current, including software. Approves document changes, creates new documentation when required.
Support senior scientists in technical initiatives and solution or quality improvements.

Required Education and Experience:
The typical minimum level of education to perform this job competently is completion of a University (Bachelor’s Degree) program in the specialized field of study (ex. Chemistry, Biochemistry).
Direct/indirect related work experience required for someone to perform this job competently is three to five years.
