Abbott Ambassador in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia


  • Achieve Malaysia AMD Sales plans by leading Distributor’s commercial team and activities

  • Represent Abbott AMD towards local customers and key stakeholders

  • Drive execution HxV and HPV National Program to ensure Abbott AMD short term and long term business expansion in Malaysia.

  • Strictly align with the Abbott OEC system plus design and implement activities in Malaysia with full compliance with the Abbott Code of Business Conduct (CoBC)

  • Lead AMD business execution through assigned distributors in Malaysia including RA, QA, PV, Logistic, Finance, Marketing, Sales, NBD, and all related matters where assigned by the manager & company


  • Works with the distributor to create a good working environment with a focus on acquiring, developing, and retaining top talent working for the distributor on behalf of Abbott.

  • Ensures compliance with Abbott's business policies.

  • Manages and supports the distributor in achieving the business objectives.

  • Builds and maintains relationships with decision-makers in the local health care system, government agencies, regulatory bodies, key opinion leaders, and community.

  • Defines the long-range strategic plan and ensures that plan objectives are achieved.

  • Establishes comprehensive business strategies and oversees all tactics required to sustain existing business and drive new business.

  • Works closely with regional team and local country shared service to implement business processes and execute key business initiatives.

  • Anticipates market trends and implements the necessary changes to meet customer needs.

  • Assesses market data, determines, and prioritizes potential market growth opportunities.

  • Inspires the partner teams and operates in a legal and ethical manner ensuring that products and services are marketed in accordance with compliance requirements.

  • Act as Sales and Marketing Coach by spending at least 60% of the time with the distributor sales and marketing team out in the field and providing feedback on performance gaps.

  • Applies and communicates Abbott values in all decisions internally and externally.

  • Lives up to the Abbott values leads by example.

  • Represent Abbott and ensure all business activities done in a professional manner that aligns with company image, ensuring activities comply with WHO code, Indonesia code, relevant Acts, legal demands, Abbott code of conduct, and ethical standards


  • Scientific educational background (preferable Molecular Biology and/or Oncology related)

  • Graduate-level: Bachelor Degree (preferable Master degree)

  • 5 years + experience in the healthcare business including in MNCs. Experience in AMD business would be advantageous

  • Team management experiences, significant marketing, sales achievements

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking

  • Energetic & strive in a highly result-oriented environment

  • Great leader & player with strong communication, facilitation & interpersonal skills with team

  • Loyal & ambitious, willing to develop in Abbott as a future country manager

  • Computer skill: Excel, PowerPoint

  • Speak and write fluent English.
