DESCRIPTION:

The primary role of this position is to execute strategies to drive sales and expand product market share of Ensure brands and specialty products. Responsible for targeted Hospital accounts and their key stakeholders such as: Nutrition Services, Nursing, Quality, Materials Management, Physicians, and nutrition-related task forces and committees. Responsible for providing current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Abbott products, and effectively communicating the clinical and economic benefits.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Full ownership of acute care accounts

  • Executing strategic sales initiatives designed to exceed established sales goals.

  • Work closely with District Manager and cross-functional / interdisciplinary teams to execute the strategic account plan

  • Prioritizing the utilization of resources to drive return on investment

  • Utilizing Abbott Nutrition promotional materials and clinical studies to effectively communicate the clinical and scientific benefits of Abbott Nutrition products to targeted healthcare professionals

  • Plan and organize to maximize focus on top priorities

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Excellent oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of sales experience

  • Selling experience across a wide range of Health Care Practitioners in Hospital setting/environment

  • Strong Business acumen demonstrated through solid understanding of the healthcare landscape

  • Strategic Account Planning experience

  • Clinical/Healthcare experience is a plus (RN/RD)

MISC:

Territory:

Territory: Pittsburgh PA South (City & on South) & West Virginia (entire state of WV) – live south of Pittsburgh or Morgantown WV - must live within the territory or move to the territory. This is non-negotiable due to the very large size of this territory. Candidate must be ok with a lot of driving and also doing overnights as part of normal business.

  • Charleston/Parkersburg WV is a 4-5 hour drive – about 2 visits every month -

Travel: @ 30%
