Abbott Business Excellence Manager in Rome, Italy

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strive for a continuous improvement culture, where employees improve their business processes to support the top and bottom line objectives

  • Map and analyze business processes to identify potential improvement ideas and improve the efficiency of the organization

  • Use the sensitive analysis approach to calculate which results may be expected from eventual changes and monitor the realized results during the implementation

  • Define a solid and relevant organization dashboard to monitor the overall business progression starting from a list of KPIs by Business Functions and how these indicators fit together to reach ANI Italy objectives using both lagging and leading indicators

  • Identify gaps and opportunities with an effective data collection and reporting system as well as frequent internal and external benchmarking

  • Support the development and sharing of good practices within the local affiliate and at Area level

  • Measure every initiative from a ROI perspective to support the right decision making mindset

  • Highlight eventual organizational bottlenecks and develop possible solutions

  • Maintain contacts with BEx teams of other Abbott affiliates, within and outside Nutrition Division, for exchanging best practices

  • Work closely with Finance on translating operational performance into financial performance and own the local affiliate commitment

  • Communicate to management results and development realized in the affiliate

  • Secure a proper communication flow between the different local and Area stakeholders on strategy, operative plan, results and best practices

  • Explain budget variations in accordance with Finance

  • Analyze deviations and take appropriate corrective actions

  • Establish in close collaboration with Finance a yearly investment and saving plan for the affiliate

  • Proactively oversee the flow of inventory throughout its lifecycle to guarantee an accurate forecast (via ADS submission) measured against the Italian affiliate main KPIs for both Institutional and Retail business

  • Build a solid and trustful collaboration with Marketing, Sales and Finance to optimize demand plans even in the events of sales upsize or material/product shortage challenges

  • Manage the reporting of inventory in BPCS/SAP APO with regard to the demand forecast and inventory management

  • Establish a set of KPIs and continuously improve the inventory management processes

  • Define strategies and necessary actions to respond and/or anticipate business changes

  • Support the information interpretation to take effective and efficient business decisions to drive our affiliate performance

  • Challenge the current business set up and define potential scenarios to build the organization of the future to lead the nutrition business

  • Keep complexity low

  • Drive accountability, effective decisionā€making and empowerment to the lowest level possible

  • Act in full coherence with the local law, Abbott policies and proactively respecting legal and OEC procedures
