The Program Manager is responsible for helping formulate and drive health economics strategies and tactical plans globally. This position will play a lead role in the development and communication/presentation of value dossiers and economic models for various technologies globally, and will coordinate extensively with global HE&R, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Sales and other functions to develop and communicate these materials to internal and external stakeholders. This position will also provide guidance regarding the collection and evaluation of health economic data for clinical trials, third-party databases, etc.

Job Duties: List the significant/essential duties, tasks or responsibilities which employees in this position are required to perform.

  • Identify opportunities to develop economic analyses (i.e. cost-effectiveness, budgetary impact, etc.) for key technologies, and applicability of analyses globally. Includes monitoring of third-party data that may be utilized to drive the creation of these analyses

  • Design health economics models that incorporate epidemiological data and reflect the key elements of the clinical management process

  • Develop value dossiers for key technologies, coordinating across global HE&R, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory and selling divisions. Responsible for managing day-to-day relationships and work flow with outside consultants to drive value dossier preparation as needed

  • Present dossiers, models and related training to internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.

  • Assist in the early planning of clinical trials and development of reimbursement strategy, suggesting any disease relevant health status questionnaires

  • Form collaborative relationships with HE&R professionals globally

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on reimbursement and the health policy landscape relevant to assigned products/therapies.

  • Monitor changes in the external environment (regulatory/reimbursement changes, managed care arrangements) and advise senior management on threats and opportunities with suggested action plans.

  • Work with sales and marketing to develop health economics and cost effectiveness arguments into interactive computer programs and other promotional tools for sales representative use

General Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in health economics, market access, and/or reimbursement .

  • Bachelors degree.

  • MBA, MPH or other related graduate-level degree is preferred.

  • Must have experience developing health economic and budget impact models

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Must have strong project management skills.

  • Must have strong analytical and prioritization skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.

  • Must be able to perform under pressure and in a very dynamic environment.

  • Must have a high degree of initiative, motivation and passion for the business.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and strong strategic management skills.

  • Must be able to work, direct, and take direction with all levels of management.

  • Must have ability to understand complex disease states and technical product information.

  • Must be able to perform in a diverse cross-functional team environment.

  • Advanced personal computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office is required.

  • Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other statistical software

  • Experience in both US and international markets a plus.

  • Ability to travel approximately 25%
