The Senior Product Manager is the core marketing owner and driver of the success for the US MitraClip product line in the Structural Heart business unit. This role will focus on market development for MitraClip, MR and the various indications within the U.S. This position will work closely with the sales team and be responsible for aspects of US strategy, market development plus Forecasting, Financial and Marketing Plan Development, and Sales Materials.
The Senior Product Manager shall maintain US product expertise for MitraClip products/franchises, including market sizes/trend share, customer needs and targeting, product performance/benefits/weaknesses/positioning.
·The Senior Product Manager shall provide on-going field support and will focus on growing the market awareness for MitraClip and related disease states, including new launch indication in 2019.
·Success will be measured against sales and margin expectations, sales force competency/knowledge level and market image.
Maintain US market expertise for MitraClip and relative Structural Heart technologies, including in-depth knowledge of US competitor products and strategies, market trends and dynamics, market/franchise critical success factors, and customer needs.
Develop and update annual marketing plans/strategies as it related to market development activities including market analysis, customer segmentation and targeting, product positioning, competitive assessments, and SWOT or other situation assessment.
Create and develop US specific strategies for new indications during commercialization.
Take a leadership role on market development projects and work close with other MitraClip team members to drive accountability and team achievement of goals and milestones.
Manage creative agencies to plan, develop, and execute new US materials.
Partner with regulatory colleagues in the review and negotiation of materials to ensure competitiveness, accuracy, and compliance.
Develop plan & Update US forecasts and justification for market development efforts as it relates to MitraClip and the various indications.
Work with clinical team to develop and drive strategic publication initiatives within the US.
Develop web based presence and educational materials to educate HCPs and patients on appropriate patient profiles, guidelines and appropriate indications / symptoms for MitraClip patients.
The Senior Product Manager will report to the Director of US Marketing Structural Heart and will have primary marketing and budget responsibility for market development program of the US MitraClip product line.
In this core Marketing role, the SPM will drive and be held accountable to deliver Sales, Margin, and PEx goals for designated products.
The Senior Product Manager will be expected to be responsive and able to directly address questions and requests of senior management including the SH DVP.
Education: B.S., Marketing, Business or Science. Preferred Education: Veterinary Technician/Nurse, DVM or other advanced medical degree, or MBA.
· Three year’s sales management or marketing experience in AAH is preferred. · Job requires substantial financial skills, market analysis and advanced communication skills.
· Knowledge/ability to develop and execute a "new" product / indication launch, developing both strategic and tactical plans and executing both.
Experience with Marketo marketing automation software a plus
Experience with web advertising, Google search word identification, bidding for words a plus
· Requires strong analytical skills as well as written and oral communication skills.
· Must be able to understand technical and scientific information. · Must be willing to understand and comply with Regulatory requirements.
· Must be able to influence and motivate individuals from sales, marketing, and other functional areas to drive product sales.
· Must be able to complete multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
