Abbott Senior Product Manager in Shanghai, China

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

Identify future Specialty pipeline based on consumer needs, latest tech and prioritized business needs

  • Drives formal consumre insight program in Specialty formula category that will identify key consumer benefits and unmet needs, and the opportunities for sustainable value creation of the brands.

  • Works seamlessly with Product Development/R&D/Medical teams to stay updated on existing and new technology opportunities and breakthroughs, and assess their fit against established consumer needs and brand proposition.

  • Align with local management to prioritize innovation initiatives for the China core Specialty brands.

Support 2018 NFSL Registration & Transition Project coordination

  • Coordinate on behalf of MKT team with cross functions to flawless execute NFSL transition and communication project

Lead the product development and validation process of innovation projects

  • Build up business case to translate new product ideas into business propositions covering both consumer evolving needs, leading science findings, brand value proposition and financials that are attractive, and get project approval

  • Work directly with business unit teams in local, regional and even global related functions to refine and evaluate attractiveness for new innovation concepts and build advocacy for projects to increase alignment.

  • Leads the wider team of PPMO, R&D, Medical, Regulatory, and Operations, etc. to deliver the product

Closely communication with commercial team to get business priority and alignment

  • Keeps timely interaction with China commercial team to get the latest business enviorment

  • Utilizes different communication tools to keep stakeholders clear about key milestones of their new product pipeline

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Industry experience s : Health care marketing, previous experience on infant specialty nutrition category background is must

  • Position experiences: 57 years of progressively responsible product marketing, brand management, with innovation/product development and launch experience

  • Language Skills: Fluent English skills

  • Computer Skills: Adept at Microsoft office series, esp. Excel usage & PPT presentation preparation

  • Mobili ty: Open for business travel – 10-15% of business timing

  • Certificate Required: College and above

  • Other Special requirement: N/A
