Abbott AMD APAC Distributor Manager in Singapore, Singapore

Main Function:

The Distributor Manager (DM), APAC is primarily tasked with the responsibility of driving distribution performance excellence through AMD’s business partners (distributors). He / She works with the Country Managers / Enterprise Sales Managers to ensure flawless execution of commercial actions by the distributors and assures compliance and conformance with policies and commercial strategies set by AMD globally. The DM is a key point of contact between the APAC Regional team and the Global Distribution Manager in both providing information / analytics / insights on the APAC distribution network as well as taking global initiatives onboard and driving them through the region.

The Distributor Manager position is a critical leadership position in the AMD APAC team, especially since more than 2/3rd of the AMD business is via distributors, and expected to grow at a double-digit CAGR over the next 3-5 years.

Main Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for setting the Strategic Direction for the Distributor Business in APAC and tactical implementation of the following with the distributors:

  • Annual Financial Planning and Long-Range Plan

  • Sales and instrument placements forecast

  • Quality Requirements related to distributor contracts/agreements

  • Business Reviews & Pipeline Management

  • Pricing Strategy

  • Distributor rebates and Incentive Programs

  • Ensures standardized contracts with all Distributors

  • Maintains distributor database for housing and tracking compliance

  • Service & Training Support Programs

  • Value Creation Initiatives

  • Evaluates training needs for distributors

  • Supports launch of New Products/Platforms where relevant

  • Tracking and Report of KPIs / Implementation of Business scorecards

  • Ensure compliance to AM procedures

  • New Distributor Evaluation

Education:

Studies in Business Administration, Marketing, Economy or HealthCare Related areas. Recommend BS/BA degree but not required.
