Abbott Field Technical Specialist Emerging Technologies (National) in Solihull, United Kingdom
Due to increased activity within our CardioMEMS and Vascular businesses, we are looking to recruit an additional clinical technical support resource, based in the UK, to support the EMEA business.
The Field Technical Specialist - Emerging Technologies offers both technical site support to clinical studies, to include site selection support, site technical screening, preparation and training, as well as implant support, and associated troubleshooting and follow-up. The role covers the EMEA region, with up to 70% travel, so candidates located close to a major airport would be preferable.
Main responsibilities include:
Assist in any device-related clinical study activities (included implantations or procedures and follow-up) such as enrollment and visits support events.
Serve as a liaison for Abbott clinical research team and hospital study site coordinator and study investigators.
Serve as main contact for hospital and Abbott field personnel for specified technology related issues.
Support follow-up and implant consultation for assigned technology.
Assist in training activities with physicians, hospital support staff and Abbott personnel.
Provide educational support at congresses or regional meetings to include Abbott internal and customer training programs.
Feed new product design enhancement ideas into upstream (product) marketing organization.
Work closely with the local sales and marketing teams within country organization.
Candidates should hold a BSc or equivalent within a relevant discipline, with experience in a clinical setting, ideally within heart failure or vascular.
