We are seeking a high caliber Senior Hardware Technician to support the Continuation Engineering team within the Cardiac Arrhythmia and Heart Failure, Electrophysiology Research & Development organization, focused specifically on EnSite, Ampere, TactiSys and WorkMate hardware platforms and associated accessories. This individual will need to have hands on electronics experience, ability to troubleshoot electronics, and good documentation and organizational skills.
Complete hands-on electronics work. This includes design, debug and build of circuitry, specialty cables, and other parts in a lab environment.
Provides design verification test support. Must be able to follow and execute test protocols.
Must have good documentation skills that are clear and concise
Supports and will occasionally lead design and technical reviews
Communicates project status and issues/concerns to the appropriate management levels.
Identifies project risks
Ensures compliance with procedural and documentation requirements of Abbott, FDA and ISO design controls
7+ years experience in technician role with medical devices experience or other highly regulated industry preferred
Minimum 2-year Associate’s degree in electronics is required
Windchill Product life cycle management (PLM) experience
Ability to effectively use Microsoft Products including Word and Excel
Altium or other ECAD tool experience, including PCB layout and component library managment
