Under general direction, works independently to design analog circuits, fixtures, tools and validation processes and maintains existing products in a fast-paced cross-functional design environment. Candidate must be capable of providing instructions, oversight and mentoring to other design engineers. Stays current on analog system design, new technologies, design practices, simulations, regulations and standards and utilizes them in new designs. Exhibits quality and pride in their work and relentlessly pushes for excellence in themselves and others.
Develops analog circuit design including host processor interfacing, component selection and optimization via simulations.
Applies advanced analog design engineering and scientific principles to circuit designs and test data to determine optimal design choices and solutions to issues
Develops validated test fixtures and methods for analog characterization testing
Develops documentation and supporting analysis for analog circuit designs and system integration
Develops new designs independently while effectively leveraging other team members
Plans and coordinates design activities with larger product development team to assure project completion
Investigates and addresses key issues with existing products
Mentors and trains other design engineers
This is a non-supervisory role
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
7+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience in the design and fabrication of PCB assemblies
Demonstrated experience with analog design techniques
Key contributor to at least 5 PCB product development cycles
Solid understanding of high-speed signal-integrity physics, EMI mitigation techniques and RF circuit protection
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate at multiple levels of the organization
Must enjoy and be proud of accomplishments where all hope was lost. Publications, special courses, IEEE or similar memberships, attendance to symposiums, patents on analog technology would be nice to have
Experience in RF circuit design, testing and integration is desirable
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Working knowledge of EMC and EMI regulations
AIMD (Active Implantable Medical Device) safety experience
Experience with medical device design
Experience with firmware, C, C# development
Experience with product compliance for FCC, IC and the EU is desirable
