Provides Learning Management System (LMS) software support in accordance with requirements specified per U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Detailed Work Instructions (DWIs). In addition, this position will partner with the LMS Supervisor to facilitate successful training. Assists management in determining training needs and requirements. Utilizing the LMS software system, identifies, creates, and tracks training for any given department. Takes initiative to ensure work is done accurately and completely. Does not require instruction for routine assignments; requires some general instruction for new or special assignments. Can identify LMS issues and resolve them without assistance. May be asked to mentor or train lower-level administrators.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with LMS Supervisor, company managers, internal and external developers, course owners and other stakeholders to ensure effective administration of the LMS. Maintain open communication and build strong relationships to successfully execute role.

  • Launch new courses within the LMS, build associated learning activities, audiences, and properties; execute proper testing protocols consistently to ensure flawless implementation.

  • Develop new, and revise existing courses, on request, working in conjunction with managers and stakeholders to ensure quality and timeliness of content.

  • Process Engineering Change Orders ensuring all Training requirements are met coordinating with impacted sites.

  • Build and maintain audiences; schedule ongoing reviews to ensure all audiences are current, relevant, and built for consistent, successful course assignment; manage course rosters and instructor assignments. Execute batch registration with accuracy.

  • Review/audit and rebuild existing course structures, audiences, and curricula for improved functionality. Schedule ongoing reviews to ensure all course content is active and in good working order.

  • Assist in implementation of LMS projects that include cross-functional training and system upgrades to ensure company-wide utilization of the LMS.

  • Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaborations with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.   • Performs other essential functions and responsibilities as determined by the Company from time to time.

  • Work additional hours, days, or schedules (including other shifts, weekends, and/or holidays), if directed.

  • Remains current on software changes and developments in field(s) of expertise.

  • Resolves and/or facilitates resolution of complex LMS problems.

  • Performs related functions and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.

  • May be required to speak before an audience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum High school diploma or GED, Associate‚Äôs degree or higher preferred.

  • Minimum of two (2) or more years of experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) application

  • Work experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as a working knowledge in Adobe Flash, Photoshop, HTML, Captivate, SharePoint, Articulate, or the equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated problem solving capabilities and the ability to adhere to deadlines, establish priorities and follow-up with stakeholders.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service skills, interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as basic math skills.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, this requirement includes clear, understandable speech, demonstrated comprehension skills, and demonstrated competence in English spelling, grammar and punctuation.

  • The ability to understand and comply with applicable FDA regulations and Company operating procedures, processes, policies and rules.

  • Able to use discretion and handle sensitive/confidential information in addition to being capable of resolving problems with customers in a professional manner.

  • The ability to work overtime

  • Document Control PLM system experience a plus.
