Abbott District Sales Manager - Central and South Mindanao in Taguig City, Philippines

The District Sales Manager will provide direction and leadership in their assigned districts in:

  • ensuring achievement of offtake sales and market share objectives,

  • oversee and manage execution of patient recruitment programs,

  • build alliances with key HCPs and hospital institutions,

  • managing financial resources assigned to the district specifically for promotional expenses that should lead to achievement of Targets.,

  • establish a performance management system geared towards people development and skills enhancement.

Direct Reports: 7-8 Territory Managers

Key Areas of Accountability:

  • Effectively coach to improve district and Territory Manager performance

  • Develops and leverages professional relationships with KOLs and key customers

  • Leverages relationships with internal business partners (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Finance, SCO/Demand Mgmt, SFE Manager,Training) to support regional business

  • Collaborates with the marketing team to share market/competitive intelligence and to develop innovative strategies that drive regional sales

  • Regularly tracks sales performance against plan, identifies market changes and redirects efforts as appropriate

  • Clearly and consistently conveys sales expectations as agreed with Management; product, portfolio, promotional goals; incentive plan structure; and available resources to drive business and achieve sales goals

  • Ensures that the district operates within corporate, local laws and OEC compliance guidelines

Job Specification

Knowledge & Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in ethical sales

  • Strong analytical skills, innovative, organized and can effectively coach sales personnel

  • Proven track record in sales with strong leadership skills

  • Skills: People skills/ Negotiation/coaching/ Leadership/ communication skills / Salesmanship / Business acumen / Analytical skills

Competencies required:

  • Excellent Product/Technical Knowledge and adepth in application of clinical nutrition management concepts and principles

  • Key project and task management expertise

  • Good leadership qualities and abilities

  • Sales Planning and Execution skills

  • Excellent communication skills

Minimum Qualification:

Graduate of a 4-year college degree
