Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (formerly Alere) is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies. The three openings for Contract Administrator roles are within our Cardiometabolic Business Unit located in Lake Forest, IL. This role will provide administrative, analytical, and procedural support to internal and external customers on behalf of the Contract Administration Department. This role acts as a liaison between account executives, regional sales directors, directors of national accounts, and others in processing and administration of sales contracts. This position will be situated in the ARDx Lake Forest office.
Ensure timely processing of sales contracts
Negotiate and draft contract terms and conditions inaccordance with corporate policies
Analyze potential risks that contract changes may pose tothe organization
Present and explain contract conditions and details tocustomers, business partners, and management
Resolve any existing contract conflicts
Work with different levels of personnel within anorganization to analyze and solidify an overall contract strategy
Independently support one or more sales regions in regardsto full contract management
Acts as a resource to the sales organization in regard tocurrent pricing and contracting policies and programs
Participate in and prepare for contracting strategymeetings
Perform database maintenance on an ongoing basis to insureaccurate reporting
Assist in updating departmental SOPs (Standard OperatingProcedures)
Meet deadlines and update clients with status
Utilize data from the company’s CRM system to generatereports, analyze data, and track product and ordering patterns
Interface with internal fulfillment group and distributorsto establish working relationships, assure proper end-user pricing andcontract effective dates are loaded
Understands and is aware of the quality consequences whichmay occur from the improper performance of their specific job; hasawareness of device defects that may occur in their area ofresponsibility, including product design, verification and validation,manufacturing and testing activities
Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with bothinternal/external business associates that reflects positively on thecompany and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices; buildproductive internal/external working relationships
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a business related discipline
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in commercial sales contracting, 5 years is preferred
Intermediate to expert level experience with MS Office, with a heavy emphasis on Excel is required
Demonstrated ability to effectively and constructively communicate across departmental disciplines while pursuing contract department goals.
Previous CRM or database experience required
