The position of Contracts AdministrationSupervisor is within our Cardiometabolic Business Unit located at Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Lake Forest, IL This position will supervise, provide guidance and training to contract administrators and participate in preparation, negotiation and administration of high-profile contracts, in addition to administrative and procedural support to internal and external customers on behalf of the Contracts & Pricing Department. This role acts as a liaison between account executives, regional sales directors, directors of national accounts, and others in processing and administration of sales contracts.
Supervise contract administrators and contractcoordinators’ day-to-day productivity and provide constructive feedback andcoaching
Track performance of contract administrators andcontract coordinators and provide performance evaluations
Validate and coordinate work of contractadministrators and contract coordinators
Negotiate and draft high-value complex contractterms and conditions in accordance with corporate policies
Analyze potential risks that contract changes maypose to the organization and provide solution
Present and explain contract conditions and detailsto customers, business partners, and management
Work with different levels of personnel within anorganization to analyze and solidify an overall contract strategy
Acts as a knowledge resource to the contractadministrators, contract coordinators and sales organization in regard tocurrent policies, processes and programs
Provide training to onboarding personnel incontract administration group and inSales (as it relates to contract administration process)
Deploy analytical approach to problem solving, riskassessment and strategy.
Oversee current contract administration process,identify opportunities, and develop and implement enhancements to improveoverall contract administration process.
Meet deadlines and update clients with status
Develop, maintain and foster highly effectiveinternal and external client relationship
Be one of the company’s CRM system super-user togenerate reports, analyze data, and track product and ordering patterns
Interface with internal fulfilment group anddistributors to establish working relationships, assure proper end-user pricingand contract effective dates are loaded
RequiredEducation and Experience:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a business relateddiscipline
At least 7 years’ experience contract managementexperience is required; must be able to draft and negotiate high-value complexcontract terms and conditions
2 years or more of supervisory experience incontracts administration department.
2+ years’ experience working with distributor,group purchasing organization and/or government contracts is required
Intermediate to expert level experience with MSOffice, with a heavy emphasis on Excel is required
Previous CRM experience required
