Core Job Responsibilities (mainly in EMEA)

  • Report to the Sr Director International Tax based in the Netherlands

  • Act as an advisor to Tax management and the business in tax matters

  • Assist with tax planning matters

  • Oversee tax audits

  • Work with tax authorities on outstanding topics

  • Work with US headquarters on international compliance and transfer pricing matters

  • Assist with EU tax compliance

  • Monitor and assess changes and developments in jurisdictions in the EMEA area including EU tax rules and regulations and evaluating the impact

  • Contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards

  • Assist with the tax due diligence and structuring for acquisitions and disposals and other transactions

  • Research complex tax issues and prepare technical documentation

  • Prepare and handle reports and analyses, and participate in ad hoc projects as and when required

  • Help review tax returns prepared in-house and/or by outside preparers

  • Help review internal tax reporting

Job Requirements (qualifications)

  • Tax law/tax economics degree with at least 4-6 years of relevant experience in taxation

  • Tax knowledge of EMEA area is important

  • Someone who is meticulous, independent, pro-active, hands on with strong analytical skills

  • Proven ability to rely on experience and judgment to lead and manage complex, concurrent projects in a fast-paced, changing environment with tight deadlines

  • Team player

  • Effective communicator and able to communicate in English

  • Candidates with broader range of European language skills will have an added advantage
