Abbott Diagnostics Division is looking for a
Area Lead Specialist Hematology (m/f)
for the Area Technical Support Department based in Wiesbaden, Germany.
Primary Objective of Position
- Ensure efficient area service operations for Abbott’s Hematology systems with regards to instrument training, problem escalation and on-site customer support.
Coordination of area team work
Help in selecting candidates for network membership and trainer function
Training and coaching of the country-based team members
Lead technical communication within area for assigned product group through conference calls, webex sessions, workshops and meetings
Technical product training for internal employees
Plan and organize all product trainings in Delkenheim and countries, conduct own trainings
Actively manage functionality and availability of assigned training rooms- and equipment
Align activities with all relevant global strategies through close collaboration with GSS and other areas
Support the regular global product knowledge assessments in the area Europe
Lead / conduct the certification process of the selected country product trainers
Product support and escalation of product issues
Support 2nd level support delivery in countries, provide third-level support within area
Ensure timely and efficient escalation of customer issues to Global service and support through close collaboration with GSS. representatives in Delkenheim (see org chart), and direct contacts.
Provide input to development process / future serviceability of HSQ systems.
Travel (up to 50%) to maintain and further develop both formal and personal contacts in the countries and US
Support the above mentioned training- support- and team management activities
- Biomedical / technical engineering degree, or med-tech with strong affinity to engineering.
A bove-the-average technical product knowledge for on-market ADD Hematology systems.
Strong team player with the ability take on a team leadership role when required.
Strong communication- and presentation skills in English, multi-cultural awareness.
Result-oriented working style, ability to set priorities and to maintain focus when under pressure.
Ability to quickly switch perspective between technical detail and the wider organizational context.
Experience in conducting technical product trainings for internal staff and/or end-customers.
