Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) is looking for a Finance Manager EMEA (m/f) based in Wiesbaden. The EMEA Finance Manager provides financial leadership support and counsel to the EMEA Area Commercial Operations team and Country Controllers for Balance Sheet, Capital, Cash Flow and Audit & compliance. The role serves as a leader of the financial planning process for the above areas of responsibility by proving priorities for the organization and ensuring the timeliness, high quality, accuracy, and integrity of all financial information while also performing ad hoc requirements from the Area Controller.

This position will report to the ADC EMEA Area Controller and have significant interaction with: Members of the Area HQ Senior Management team; ADC global finance teams; and the Regional/Country ADC Finance teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the forecasting processes for Balance Sheet, Capital projects and Cash Flow by setting processes and establishing priorities in the organization and ensuring the timeliness, quality, and accuracy of information reported.

  • Provide general accounting guidance and support for EMEA Area HQ and affiliates.

  • Continually focus on working to improve the Cash Conversion Cycle through process improvements and analytical tool developments to support the country controllers and key stake holders for DSO and DPO metrics.

  • Assist EMEA Management through ad hoc reports and analysis in order to highlight risks and opportunities and to provide business related insights.

  • Work to continually develop new processes to improve and drive the business as well as strengthen existing financial processes throughout EMEA.

  • Support Regional and Country Controllers with forecasting tools, best practice sharing and consulting on Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Capital Projects.

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies audit findings resolutions and refresher trainings on key financial policies.

  • Lead the communications and processes with CFS, Shared Service team and Export Operations to support the DX business contracting, credit limits and other ad-hoc DX support and analytics.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting or related discipline. ACCA, CPA, or CIMA membership.

  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive finance/accounting/Audit experience

  • Understanding of the Divisional financial process

  • Ability to interact with all levels of management

  • Prior Leadership experience

  • Must have excellent system skills, aptitude and experience, especially with FORE, SAP, HFM and Excel

  • Fluent in English - fluency in a second language a plus

  • Cross cultural/international experience and a willingness/openness to international mobility

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills as well as critical thinking skills to identify and share business implications of financial results
