Abbott Diagnostics Division is looking for a
Senior Specialist Global Procurement (m/f/d)
based in Wiesbaden.
The primary function of Global Procurement is to purchase goods and services in an effective and economic manner at high quality and in compliance with applicable regulations and procedures. The incumbent is subject matter expert for chemicals and biologic ingredients that are used in the manufacture of in-vitro diagnostics.
Execute global procurement strategies for the category of chemicals and biologics that support the business and drive direct savings.
Manage international supplier relationships, pricing negotiations and contracts.
Analyze and communicate supplier key performance indicators and support risk management for the supply base.
Work closely with suppliers, category managers and global operations to improve the quality, specifications and value of goods procured.
Proactively seek and lead innovative ways to improve the procurement processes, cycle times, and customer service levels.
Analyze supply chain related opportunities; take a broad perspective to identify and deliver solutions, drive change.
Travel up to 10%.
Degree in biology or chemistry, business or finance.
Several years of experience, successful track record in procurement, supply chain or deep category experience.
Experience with supplier management preferred.
Strong project management, change management and negotiation skills.
Lead change with interdisciplinary, intercultural, influence and networking skills.
Must have strong use of spreadsheet programs and data analysis experience.
Experience with procurement, contracting, compliance and business tools utilized in supply chain (SAP) preferred.
Excellent people and communication skills, fluent in English and German.
Strong sense of personal accountability for evolution and success of the entrusted program.
