Abbott Hematology Division is looking for a

Commercial Excellence Manager (m/f) Africa, Middle East & Turkey.

The position is based in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Focus on base business: Ensure opportunities exist and are being actively managed for 100% of instruments up for renewal in the next 2 years

  • Define a contingency strategy for instruments which will be discontinued. Ensure there are an appropriate number of Takeaway opportunities for Legacy instruments and the pipeline for these opportunities is managed and progressing

  • Monitor revenue from service and ensure any contracts up for renew and managed

  • IBP process: Run the Monthly IBP process for the Hematology Business Unit working closely with the Regional Core Lab Comm Ex team to ensure the sales projections for Hematology base business are “tied out” and aligned resulting in “one set of numbers”. Understand the risks and opportunities that exist in each Region and ensure each is actively managed by a clear owner

  • Represent the outcome of the Area IBP process to Global during the monthly Commercial IBP review meeting including preparation of the Standard Monthly Slide Deck and any other supporting materials

  • Commercial analysis (Base and Alinity): Provide analysis as needed on the Hematology business in the area, Including but not limited to: Reagent trend line analysis, Probability weighted pipeline analysis, Pipeline Analysis, Utilization and Contract compliance analysis

  • Support the Regional Director: Help the Regional Director in managing the business for the Area, with a focus on providing clear reporting, analysis, and recommendations. Support the Regional Director in responding to various requests from Global Hematology Business Unit as well as Area and Region Core Lab teams

  • Planning: Lead the execution of the Annual planning process for the Hematology Business Unit in the area

  • Transactional Execution: Ensure that all actions needed to capture the revenue included in the monthly/quarterly IBP forecast and completed. Identify risks or bottlenecks and take action to mitigate or remove

  • Monitor day to day sales to ensure orders are received and converted to revenue as planned.

Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Science, business management and business administration.

Your Profile:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years track record in the diagnostic industry with an emphasis on commercial management in diagnostic and/or medical device business

  • Excellent product and industry knowledge

  • Must be team orientated, analytical, highly organized

  • Extensive experience as program / project manager

  • Results Driven - confident, thrives on hard work and consistent challenge, and is quick on his/her feet

  • Monitors quantitative progress measures and acts quickly on deviations from plan

  • Must have demonstrated ability to operate within a Cross Function Team

  • Demonstrated business analytical capabilities and track record of contingency planning with a Commercial Operations focus (preferable Sales Analytics and CRM Management)

  • Highly organized with strong communication skills

  • Demonstrated performance of influencing change

  • Results Driven - confident, thrive on hard work and consistent challenge
