Abbott Point of Care (APOC) is looking for a Marketing Manager APOC Europe and Russia (m/f), based in Wiesbaden.
Develops and implements marketing strategies through EU and Russia Region marketing organization, including the development of marketing plans and activities that drive the flow of products to our customers, in a manner that highlights differentiation and value. The Marketing Manager is responsible for the product, from identification of customer and market needs/wants, to concept and input on product development, product launch, through and including product discontinuation. Key focus for the role is the effective management of the product portfolio and coordination of effort and resources (including direct reports) to achieve the area plan. Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organization's objectives and timelines.
Developing marketing strategies and plans.
Creating regional demand for his/her product in a customer-centric manner (exemplified by high satisfaction of needs, and therefore appropriately differentiated and adding value) by developing and overseeing execution of the regional marketing plan. This includes definition of and segmentation of the market, targeting and positioning, and all aspects of the marketing mix (product, place, price, and integrated marketing/promotion).
Business expansion: Participate in strategic planning initiatives including long range plan to ensure profitable growth opportunities are supported, and present to senior management
Liaising with Regions, Area and Global marketing teams as appropriate.
Ensures all promotional activities, progress reports, updates etc., are delivered on time to a high standard.
Provides all relevant information required for plan and update reviews.
Developing plan to market product through promotional campaigns, utilising the full marketing mix as appropriate.
Undertaking complete analysis of the effectiveness of strategy and monitoring implementation.
Full budgetary responsibility for ensuring promotional campaigns are within agreed spending limits.
Working alongside sales management and sales team to ensure promotional campaigns are developed appropriately and delivered effectively.
Liaising closely with all support functions (including Regulatory, Customer Services and Manufacturing).
Managing the development of Marketing Team.
Degree in business, marketing, technical or science discipline.
At least 5-8 years commercial experience (Marketing or Sales); preferable in Medical Device / Diagnostic business with a desirable understanding of Clinical Microbiology
Strong experience in Point of care business and European product management
Very strong leadership skills, leadership experience

Excellent communication skills, Builds/drives relationships and teamwork within team and across functions with professional demeanor.
Fluent in English
Travel up to 30%
