Abbott Molecular is looking for an
Oncology Technical Sales Support Specialist EMEA (m/f)
The position is based in Europe (preferably UK or Germany)
50% travel is required
Provide technical sales support in FISH, automation and imaging to our customers in EMEA
Support oncology marketing & campaign activities
Technical troubleshooting in cooperation with EMEA service and support
Provide hands-on FISH, VIP2000 and BioView demos and technical training to aid EMEA sales activity. Provide scientific and technical training to customers looking at starting a FISH laboratory.
Assist the sales team in workflow analysis to demonstrate the efficiency, reliability and flexibility of Abbott Oncology Solutions.
Provide training and assay/system implementation support at customer laboratories.
Drive implementation of new assays, workflows and companion diagnostics assays to improve laboratory performance and patient healthcare
Provide a resource of expertise in knowledge of the industry as well as expertise in innovation trends and new and upcoming technologies
Scientific Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on oncology/genetics is required
Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in an Oncology/Pathology laboratory.
Knowledge of Cytogenetic and Oncology including slide-based and molecular genetics testing (FISH and at least 1-2 of IHC, PCR, Microarrays, NGS).
Extensive experience with FISH technology
Strong commercial skills for effective identification of additional business opportunities
Strong team skills for effective collaboration with local sales team members as well as interdisciplinary organizations.
Strong training skills for effective training of external customers.
Excellent English language skills, additional European language preferred
Willingness for frequent travels through the region.
