Abbott Corporate IT is looking for a

Sr. IT Manager Europe (m/f/d)

with E-commerce and webshop experience for the Digital Technology Services based in Wiesbaden, Germany.

The Sr. IT Manager will have a large E-Commerce Client Area and deployed technology to support multiple divisions across Europe.

The Senior IT Manager will deliver and support existing e-commerce solutions across business lines and European countries.

The Sr. IT Manager manages the team and related delivery & operational activities that require interaction between business units and IT to successfully deliver Abbott solutions and ensure value is achieved as anticipated from the outsourced relationships under management.

Is responsible for defining and the ultimate delivery of IT Solutions. Anticipates the needs for the client area and deployed technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Building a customer centric culture and e-commerce landscape that focuses on customer (business units in Abbott) success as its primary goal

  • Continue to build and lead existing e-commerce organization (team of 25 with 2 leads) with responsibilities for plan, build and run

  • Partner with Business and IT leaders to drive e-commerce business needs, use cases and requirements

  • Manage performance, coach team members, and deliver on objectives while driving a culture of excellence, sharing best practices and educate teams

  • Primarily responsible for successful execution of projects working through providers. Responsible for the approval of all project related deliverables through System Decommission

  • Manages capacity and review corresponding project demand for solutions and projects across respective domain(s). Ensures alignment with Enterprise service providers. Escalates if Provider is unable to meet demand

  • Plans, executes and evaluates work to time, cost and quality targets. Assesses and evaluates risk. Communicates effectively, both formally and informally

  • Facilitates collaboration between stakeholders who have diverse objectives. Understands the relevance of own area of responsibility/specialism to the employing organization

  • Manage communication and negotiation with supplier to obtain required solution design and sizing (hours effort). Reviews and approves infrastructure, software related project costs

  • Emerging leader in industry advancements and direction of domains supported. Thinks strategically leveraging knowledge of domain needs across Abbott

  • Ensure effective systems operations between the suppliers and Abbott Plan/Build organization

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline. MBA Preferred. At least 10 yrs experience delivering e-commerce IT solutions in an enterprise digital landscape

  • Strong IT program management experience with proven track record of delivering large scale e-commerce programs

  • Manage commerce websites to achieve an effective sales order management experience for external commerce users. This will include the setup of products/ stores/micro sites and all content required to support effective support of external sales

  • Experience and practical use of Magento preferred

  • Ideally consulting experience in an international environment (Europe)

  • Store catalog (categories/products/attributes), Sales orders (quotes/orders/invoices/shipments/credits)

  • Understand and execute leadership concepts including but not limited to: pricing analysis, new item introductions, promotional planning and evaluation, consumer usage analysis

  • Knowledge of emerging retail strategy and technology (Omni-channel & Digital)

  • Area of scope includes Europe region (appr. travel 25%)
