Abbott IT Technician in Witney, United Kingdom

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional IT technician / Client services Technician supporting desktop services within Abbott based out of our Solihull office.

Main responsibilities:

  • Supporting with the in house ticketing system, ensuring queries are resolved / escalated in a timely manner.

  • Supporting a mixture of office and field based staff. Resolving their issues face to face and remotely.

  • Repairing computer equipment

  • Tracking, recording and taking ownership of computer assets.

  • trouble shooting

What you'll need:

  • An interest / passion for IT

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or a related field or demonstrable relevant experience.

  • Strong working knowledge of desktop, mobile related hardware and associated operating systems, peripherals and related infrastructure

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced changing environment -- multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines in timely manner.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across various functions and business areas.

  • Advanced understanding of excel i.e. Macro's, pivot tables would be advantages but not essential.
