Abbott (Junior) System Project Engineer in Witney, United Kingdom
World Leader in Blood Glucose Monitoring, Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings.
We have a Centre of Excellence in Witney for the manufacture of electrodes and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes. As a result of strong business growth, industry-leading product development in the biosensor business and a long-term commitment to high volume manufacturing in our Witney Centre of Excellence, we have an opportunity for a Junior Project Engineer to join our Operations Group, working within the biosensor manufacturing area of the business.

Continuous Improvement is an important part of our site’s culture and as such, you will be heavily involved in proposing and contributing to initiatives and projects that improve our operations.
You will be able to devise, plan, carry out and report on experiments and other data collection, leading to the progression of engineering projects, and offer a flexible approach to work to provide assistance with the wider Engineering projects as and when required
You will need to have completed a HNC or HND in a science or computing field, as a minimum, and ideally bring engineering/technical experience, for example understanding databases, technical drawings, problem solving, use of CAD systems, designing tests and experiments.
