Abbott Senior Clinical Research Associate (CRA II) in Witney, United Kingdom

Known for the development of revolutionary technologies, Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings. We now have an exciting opportunity in our growing Clinical Affairs function.

The role of Senior CRA (CRA II) for Abbott Diabetes Care is much more than just being a monitor.

Working in-house with us, you will take leadership of a series of studies focussing on the development of our new FreeStyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System. You’ll be involved in the whole clinical research life cycle from trial design and start up activities through to monitoring and successful completion.

As a Senior CRA, we’ll look to you to lead projects and manage team members such as CRAs and Coordinators.

Your projects will include existing performance monitoring studies (post-market surveillance), as well as a number of new projects located in the UK, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Travel will be a part of this role, and you could be away up to 40% of your time.

You will interact with other functional groups on a regular basis, including Data Management, Regulatory, Statistics, and Scientific Affairs, while developing a real insight into current and developing technologies. You will build a solid foundation for future career development as you become an expert in our devices.

Fully up to date with relevant scientific and industry literature, you will be educated to degree level, ideally in a life sciences discipline. You will need experience in a similar role within medical devices, IVDs, or pharmaceuticals, and ideally have experience of using formal project management tools.

As you’d expect from an innovative global health care company, we offer a competitive range of benefits including a defined contribution pension scheme, share ownership scheme, private healthcare, life assurance, and a flexible benefits scheme.
