Abbott Director, Sales Force Effectiveness in Zaventem, Belgium

For our Cardiac Arrhythmia and Heart Failure Division (CAHF), we are recruiting a Director Sales Force Effectiveness.

The position will drive commercial excellence within CAHF in partnership with EMEA GM’s, FP&A, HR and cardiovascular and neuromodulation commercial excellence team. The main tasks are:

  • Launch, train, support and ensure adoption of the CRM ( ) application across EMEA CAHF commercial team

  • Work with Marketing to develop and automate competitive intelligence process through CRM system and proactively report key competitive trends to allow the organization to anticipate necessary strategic or tactical adjustment

  • Develop reporting with relevant metrics and KPI’s to be shared systematically and reviewed during business reviews in collaboration with FP&A

  • Review and drive sales compensation plan effectiveness and governance in collaboration with Human Resources to ensure pay for performance and drive the right behaviours.

  • Manage Division Vice President’s President Club Award program design, communication and administration with the external communication agency

  • Partner with selling skills program manager to ensure development and deployment of targeted education programs

  • Provide guidance on marketing and sales initiatives and product launches

  • Drive EMEA customer segmentation strategy and analysis and work with GM’s to localize the approach to each country

  • Implement market coverage models to include call planning and territory alignment, analyse sales force resource allocation, all to ensure maximizing of resources and commercial ROI.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong Business Acumen

  • Ability to develop strategic recommendation based on analysis of complex data input and present to client/ product teams

  • Ability to consider complex problems and offer valid solutions

  • Project Management

  • Able to offer practical experience of successful CRM application in the field

  • Relationship Building, Influencing and Communications

  • Proven ability to work cross functionally and interact at all levels of the business from Executive level down

  • Operational and Systems skills

  • Strong systems and analytics background.

  • Intimate knowledge and experience of SAP, Salesforce and Cognos systems

  • Fluency in English (additional language is an asset)
