About the job

The Production Manager - Powder reports into the Site Director and is part of the Site Leadership Team (SLT). He or she is responsible for all manufacturing in the powder plant in the Zwolle site, and oversees 130 FTE.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible for the results of the Powder Manufacturing Facilities with regards to safety, quality, customer satisfaction, delivery, service, and manufacturing capabilities in order to accomplish plant, division and corporate goals at competitive costs. Provides leadership for plant operations and maintenance to achieve and maintain the highest standards.

  • Advises and informs the Site Director on the performance of the production facilities, draws up reports and conducts financial and business economic analyzes with direct support of his/her department

  • As part of the Site Leadership Team, he or she takes responsibility in giving direction to the Site Development and continuous improvement. Provides leadership in programs that will enhance the overall effectiveness of the Plant, and promotes innovation and continuous improvement within the entity

  • Develops strategic plans and objectives in accordance with overall Plant and Division strategy; executes business plans through functional reports while providing leadership, coaching and direction.

  • Overall responsible for Managing the Departments’ staff with 13 Direct and 120 Indirect reports

Desired profile

  • Bachelor degree and/or Master degree in Engineering, Operations or Science, a combination with an MBA is desirable.

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in (food or pharma) Manufacturing or related industry with significant experience in management and supervision

  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements in a comparable regulated environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to effectively lead a in a team environment, adaptable to change, able to manage competing priorities, excellent analytical and problem solving skills and business savvy.

  • A teamplayer, able to anticipate, innovate en collaborate and with the ability to develop further within the company.

  • A leader who coaches our people to enable them maximize their full potential & contribution to the Organization.

  • Somebody with organizational awareness, empathy and an energetic personality

  • Fluently in Dutch and English, both oral and written.
